Cumin cauliflower rice offers a simple grain-free swap for starchy white rice. Our cauliflower rice seasoning includes cumin and garlic. By skipping the grain, we also keep this cauliflower rice keto friendly. If you have a food processor handy, this side dish comes together in a snap. Easy!
How To Make This Recipe
Because we’re only using a few ingredients here, all of them must be quality. First, we start by cleaning a small head of fresh cauliflower, removing the stem and leaves in the process. Then, using our food processor, we slowly pulse the cauliflower until we have pieces the size of rice or couscous. An aside, this is a great point to freeze that riced cauliflower for later use.
Once we’ve riced our cauliflower in a food processor, we warm up a large skillet over medium-low heat. For this recipe, our cauliflower rice seasoning includes a blend of olive oil, minced garlic, and cumin. In our warm pan, we briefly sauté our garlic in a little olive oil. Then, we add both our riced cauliflower and cumin to the pan. We stir and continue to cook cauliflower until softened.
And, that’s pretty much it. Once it’s warm, season with salt and pepper to taste. This cauliflower rice is ready to serve with your favorite stew or masala. Or, delight family members who are cutting those carbs with a cauliflower rice keto dish. We also love using this riced cauliflower as a base for low carb power bowls.
