Perfect for summer, these sweet strawberry biscuits come together in under 20 minutes. Each tender biscuit is packed with fresh, juicy strawberries. Let’s grab our bowl and spatula because we’re ready to bake up some goodies.
How To Make This Recipe
Lucky for us, it’s strawberry season. And, we’re taking full advantage! These easy strawberry treats use just 8 ingredients, and we don’t even need to haul our our electric mixers. We start by preheating our oven to to 350°F. Then, we line a couple of baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats. While our oven heats up, we make our dough.
Next, we prepare the dough. To a large mixing bowl, we add our liquid ingredients–applesauce, lemon juice, canola oil, vanilla, and our sugar substitute. If you prefer real sugar, just swap it in. We then whisk our liquids until well combined. Now, we bring in our dry ingredients. We add flour and baking powder and mix thoroughly. Then, we gently fold in our chopped strawberries.
Once we’ve mixed our dough, we roll it up into balls. We try to make each ball just a tiny bit larger than the size of a golf ball. Then, we place these on our lined cookie sheets and bake. We remove them from the oven once firm and lightly browned. This takes between 15 and 20 minutes depending on how big we make those biscuits. Before serving, we allow them to cool completely.
Now, grab one of those tasty biscuits and take a bite. Mmmmm! Store any leftover biscuits in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze them for up to 3 months. When refrigerating, we like to add a small piece of paper towel to soak up any moisture that collects.
